What this site stores on your device
Nothing. No cookies are set, nothing is written to local storage, and no analytics or tracking script runs on any page.
There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to ask you about.
What our server records
The server that hosts this site keeps ordinary web logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, and the browser’s user-agent string. They exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse, they are not linked to anything else, and they are not used to build a profile of you.
Logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days.
Fonts and images
Typefaces are served from our own server, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host.
The Instagram grid on the homepage is fetched by our server, and the images are passed through it. Your browser does not contact Instagram unless you click a post and go there yourself.
Email you send us
Every contact route on this site is a plain mailto: link, so your own email client sends the message and we receive it in an ordinary inbox. Our mail is hosted by Titan.
We keep correspondence for as long as the conversation is useful, and delete it when it is not.
Thalamo Aid
The Thalamo Aid form asks about someone else — their name, their situation, and sometimes their health or finances. That is sensitive information about a person who is usually not the one filling in the form, which is why the form asks you to confirm you have their agreement or are close enough to ask on their behalf.
The form does not upload anything. It opens your own email client with the text filled in, and nothing reaches us until you press send. Our legal basis for keeping what you send is your consent, and the consent of the person the story is about.
We use it only to decide whether and how we can help. We do not publish a story unless you told us we may, and we honour the anonymous-only option. Ask us and we will delete a submission — write to the address below and it is done.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy. Email us and we will answer — there is no form and no ticket queue.
If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).
